Back in the early sixties the first thing you did on a surf trip to the Islands was to go down to one of the Hawaiian tailors and get a pair of cord walk shorts. They'd measure you and you'd pick out the color and the wale of cord you wanted and in a few days you could pick up your custom made walk shorts.

Back on the mainland, you'd wear your cords, a thrift shop aloha shirt and a pair of tatami grass slippers with the velvet thongs and every one knew you had been to the islands.

Our cord walk shorts are cut from the finest piecce of cord I could find. They're styled traditionally with deep inset front pockets and two rear pockets. The 7" inseam is a good medium length and the loose comfortable fit will make these your favorite shorts.

We use real coconut buttons in the button fly and on the rear pockets, the same as the custom shorts made in Hawaii back in the days of wooden boards and iron men.
